Homework

Spellings:

Here, you will find the weekly homework booklet. These spellings will be used throughout the week within sentence accuracies in literacy lessons, as well as independent and dictated practice on a Friday. You will also find a helpful crib sheet of patterns with common focus words – please aim to learn these.

Writing:

Here, you will find a PDF version of our weekly writing homework document. The children will receive a physical copy for their writing homework books too.

Additional Maths:

Please ensure the children are accessing Maths Bot to generate an arithmetic or reasoning paper to practise. If you refresh the page on the website, the same structure of question will remain, but the numbers used for questions will be different. Use the links below:

Atom Learning:

The children will receive mathematics, guided reading, grammar, writing and spellings on a weekly basis.

Each unit will be distributed on Monday, which will then be due in on the Monday of the following week.

Writing homework tasks will allow the children to develop and practise sentence construction – this is a key area for development and will supplement the children's learning in writing lessons. Children will have the opportunity to implement a particular grammatical or structural technique and write in a topical or real-life context. Your child will receive a small learning book for their writing tasks and the instruction will be provided for each week.

Homework will not be physically marked by the teacher – we will aim to find time as a class to go over key questions and address any concerns or misconceptions that the children had encountered during the week.

If you require your child's login details, please make contact through the school office.

We will be using Atom Prime Learning for some of the homework tasks this term. The children should have familiarity with this app already.
