Please also ensure that the children are completing their weekly writing homework and practising the key spelling patterns.

The children will receive mathematics, guided reading, grammar, writing and spellings on a weekly basis.
Each unit will be distributed for the Monday, which will then be due in on the Monday of the following week.
Writing homework tasks will allow the children to develop and practise sentence construction - this is a key area for development and will supplement the children's learning in writing lessons. Children will have the opportunity to implement a particular grammatical or structural technique and write in a topical or real-life context. Your child will receive a small learning book for their writing tasks and the instruction will be provided for each week.
Homework will not be physically marked by the teacher - we will aim to find time as a class to go over key questions and address any concerns or misconceptions that the children had encountered during the week.

We will be using Atom Prime Learning for some of the homework tasks this Autumn Term - the children should have familiarity with this app already.
If your child does not yet remember their login details, then these can be provided to them for you.
