Reading Books

 

Reading books will be changed on a Monday (unless there is a bank holiday, in which case it will be a Tuesday). We encourage re-reading books to develop reading fluency.

Please record reading daily in your child's reading record.

g  - here we go, around the girls face, down her hair and give her a curl

o  - here we go, all around the orange

c  - here we go, curl around the caterpillar

k  - here we go, down the kangaroos back, tail and leg

u  - here we go, down and under, up to the top, draw the puddle

b  - here we go, down the laces to the heel and around the toe

f  - here we go, down the stem then draw the leaves

e  - here we go, lift off the top, scoop out the egg

qu - the queen takes her umbrella everywhere

nk - I think I stink

ee: What can you see?

igh: Fly high.

ow: Blow the snow.

oo: Poo at the zoo. 

oo: Look at a book.

ar: Start the car.

or: Shut the door

air: That's not fair.

ir: Whirl and twirl.

ou: Shout it out.

oy: Toy to enjoy.
